"ARTornamento, gioielli contemporanei a confronto" is the title of an interesting exhibition that Alternatives Gallery will be hosting from 17th September to 14th October 2005.
Twelve designer-makers of different nationalities from the contemporary jewellery school Alchimia, one of the leading schools on an international level, will be presenting their latest creations. The aim is that of presenting new and diverse ways of interpreting jewellery, no longer tied to the mere concept of jewellery as a fashion accessory, but to the concept that jewellery is and must be considered a piece of art, able to communicate sensations and carry strong ideas, just as in other disciplines. In this way, the body becomes a dynamic public exhibition space, moving among people. It is interactive and communicative, as it interrelates with the personality of the wearer. In other words, jewellery is an art that is alive.
